Terms & Conditions
Excel for Charity is a not-for-profit service provided by Eastern
Light EPM in aid of the world's charities. This service is the
organisation of writing competitions which raises money for the
charities but also rewards the writers themselves with cash prizes
and literary honour.
1. Taking part in an Excel for Charity competition is voluntary, and
all participants understand that the primary aim of the competitions
series is to raise money for the charities, that the prize money is
generated from the entry fees and that in the event entry fees
received do not cover the prize money after a third has been
earmarked for donation to the charity, we reserve the right to
reapportion the prize money.
2. Every entrant to an Excel for Charity competition understands
that although the charities we support have agreed that we may run
the competition to raise money for them, the charities are in no way
responsible for the competitions, and enquiries on all matters
concerning the competitions must be directed to Excel for Charity
and not the charities. Entrants who wish however to verify that the
charities we support are in agreement with us may independently
contact the charities through their contact information on the
Charities We Support page of our website.
3. Cancellation of Competitions: In the event that for any
legitimate reason we are satisfied that it is unsafe to complete a
competition, we reserve the right to cancel it and refund all
entrants their entry fees by the same methods they paid us.
4. We may run advertisements by third parties on our website. We
would like to stress that we are not responsible for the contents of
third-party websites. Please make sure you are satisfied with any
offers advertised before you part with your money.
